The Spirit of the Cuvée
Launched in 1959 as a tribute to the founder William Deutz, this cuvée quickly became the House’s flagship premium wine; a jewel of rigorous structure and rare consistency, balancing power with generosity. The William Deutz cuvée combines the robust power of the finest Pinot Noirs with the refined brightness of Chardonnays. A wine of great character, aged for ten years in the House’s historic cellars and intended for discerning connoisseurs.

William Deutz 2014
The deep, luminous golden hue hints at the cuvée’s density. The warm bouquet unfolds with notes of stewed exotic fruits, roasted hazelnut, frangipane and liquorice, lifted by hints of pepper and turmeric. On the palate, the texture is noble, ample, complex and enveloping, carried by notes of candied fruit and toasted nuances. The long finish reveals the full depth of the vintage and the imprint of the great terroirs. A majestic wine whose restrained energy reveals the full measure of its grandeur.
