Each vintage of this exceptional Blanc de Blancs Champagne is shaped by the radiance of the finest Chardonnay terroirs, the great precision of the blending savoir-faire and the work of time itself. Inspired by a quest for balance and purity, this rare prestige cuvée is distiguished by its voluptuous texture. A radiant wine, both precise and voluptuous, whose harmony reveals itself with effortless grace.

An exceptional cuvée

Amour de Deutz was launched in 2000 with the 1993 vintage to celebrate the joy and hope brought by the dawn of a new millennium. This pure creation, crafted from the golden hues of the finest Chardonnays, resonates as a true act of faith in Champagne, as well as an affirmation of Maison Deutz’s spirit of freedom. A bold prestige cuvée born of a desire to break free from convention and reveal a new facet of the House’s blending expertise.

The ultimate expression of blending

Blending is a creative act, and there can be no creation without both constraints and freedom. The constraint was to harmonise the expression of the great Chardonnays of Avize and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, with the distinctive character of a vintage year. The freedom was marry the purity of the Côte des Blancs Grands Crus with the more complex nuances of the Montagne de Reims. The creation of Amour de Deutz is the result of a succession of an exacting pursuit of precision, nourished by intuition and resonance, until reaching the ultimate emotion.

Amour de Deutz 2015 unfolds into radiant, refined nuances, where yellow fruits and candied citrus mingle with delicate notes of brioche and honey.

The nose captivates with its delicate floral character, revealing notes of hawthorn, acacia and orange blossom.

The pale, radiant gold hue, reveals exceptionally fine bubbles. The nose captivates with a floral delicacy (hawthorn, acacia, orange blossom) before opening up to sun-kissed notes of yellow fruits, candied citrus, brioche and toasted notes. On the palate, the precise and finely structured attack unfolds with a luminous tension, carried by a full-bodied fruitiness and a lingering finish underscored by a subtle salinity. A radiant wine, both precise and voluptuous, in which purity expresses itself with grace.

Food & Champagne Pairing

Crab served three ways, with herring caviar and lemon mustard: the creaminess of the crab complements the wine’s voluptuousness, a touch of saffron echoes its sunny nuances, whilst the smoky note of the caviar harmonises with its toasted finesse. A harmonious, full-bodied and luminous pairing.
