Amour de Deutz is a declaration to the Champagne region: a Blanc de Blancs where exceptional terroirs, meticulous blending and long ageing come together in a shared pursuit of purity and harmony.
2015 wines, rich and generous in nature, yet carried by remarkable energy, called for the utmost precision in order to preserve the freshness, tension and balance that define Amour de Deutz.
For the first time in the history of the cuvée, seven crus were brought together. The Grands Crus of Avize, Oger, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Chouilly enter into dialogue with the Premiers Crus of Vertus, Villeneuve-Renneville and Villers-Marmery. Each contributes its own nuance, personality and radiance.
Together, they create a singular interpretation of Amour de Deutz.
For more than nine years, in the House's chalk cellars, the wine continued its elevation. The balance became more refined, the aromas gained complexity and the contrasts of the vintage gradually found their harmony.
Amour de Deutz 2015 reveals a luminous and deeply elegant expression.
Initially delicate, the wine opens with floral notes of hawthorn, acacia and orange blossom. Gradually, it unfolds into a more solar register, where yellow fruits and candied citrus mingle with subtle brioche, honeyed and delicately toasted nuances, leaving the gentle imprint of time.
On the palate, the precise, finely chiselled attack gives way to a luminous tension. Notes of blood orange and mandarin intertwine with the generosity of yellow peach in an expression of remarkable purity. As the wine evolves, it gains breadth and depth, revealing aromatic complexity and a persistent finish prolonged by a subtle saline note.
