Each year, the harvest marks the culmination of a cycle. In 2026, nature accelerated its pace. Shaped by frost, intense heat and exceptional earliness, the season gave rise to grapes of remarkable quality, combining concentration and expressive character.

At Deutz, the vine always sets the tempo.

Throughout the year, the vineyard teams follow its evolution with the utmost care. Harvest is never a date fixed on the calendar. It is a decision guided by the vine itself. In close consultation, Cédric Georget and Caroline Latrive shared the same conviction: the time had come.

On 14 August, the first grapes were picked in Bisseuil and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ.

Thus began 13 days of harvesting. 7 teams. 150 harvesters. 11 crus.

One guiding principle: harvesting each parcel at precisely the right moment. From first light through the warmer hours of the day, the teams adapted their rhythm to that of the vine.

At the House press centre in Aÿ, more than 50 marcs followed one another. One gesture followed another, the cellar team gradually took over. Every detail mattered to preserve the pure expression of the fruit.

The first juices are already revealing their personality. Concentration, radiance, balance: the early tastings reveal the promise of a 2026 vintage with character and great finesse.

On 26 August, the harvest came to an end.

A new chapter then began.

After the rhythm of the harvest comes the time in the cellar. Patience, precision and expertise will accompany each cru before the promise of the 2026 vintage slowly takes shape.
