The people of Deutz

At Deutz, excellence is a collective endeavour. The House employs around a hundred staff members, men and women from diverse backgrounds, united by a shared vision and driven by a common ambition: to uphold the spirit of the House.

A small-scale House
A small-scale House whose beating heart remains in Aÿ, and whose every action counts just as much as every decision.
In the vineyards, a team of ten winegrowers tends to every plot with total respect for Nature, season after season. In the cellar, a panel of tasters brings together different perspectives – some drawing on their memory of the House’s style, others offering a fresh perspective – whilst the estate’s head chef concocts pairings to bring out the best in each cuvée.
This diversity of roles is reflected even in our partner vineyards; some families have been working alongside the House for five generations. A balance emerges between individual initiative and the strength of the collective. There is ample scope for manoeuvre with everyone, in their own way, embodying the same commitment to excellence. Not a strict hierarchy but a close-knit collective, a community of shared values focused on the future of the House and of the entire region.
